Magic: the Gathering Pre-Release events run Friday and Saturday at HobbyTown Lincoln!

-Each player in a Sealed event will receive a Pre-Release Kit containing 6 booster packs and a premium promo card to build a 40+ card deck; basic lands will be provided by the store.

-Events will be capped at 4 Swiss rounds, with players earning a prize pack for each round they win*!

*When time is called, the active player finishes their turn, followed by a shared total of five (5) turns to finish the game.  If there is still no winner at that point, that game is reported as a draw and the match score checked; if there is no match winner, the prize pack goes to the player with the highest life total.

For 2-Headed Giant, when time is called, the active team will finish their turn, followed by a total of three (3) turns to finish the game.  If there is still no winner at that point, that game is reported as a draw and the match score checked; if there is no match winner, the both players on the team with the highest life total each get a prize pack.

Avatar includes an additional way to play at PreRelease: Commander Box League!

Players will each purchase a new Play Booster box and use it to build a 60 card card (59+1 Commander) Commander deck with no restrictions on colors or number of copies (except for the Buy-a-Box promo, which is not added to the card pool). Players will then be grouped into pods to play Commander (40 starting life, commander damage tracking etc.), and everyone gets a promo card after playing! These extra events will start at 2pm on Friday on Saturday, and you can join the event lobbies in the Magic Companion App using the following codes:
